It's difficult to miss the focus of the Maine Lobster Festival but even so, festival organizers don't leave it to chance and serve over 20,000 lbs (9,000 kg) of fresh lobster at the five-day event. The festival has been running for over 60 years and also features Maine arts and crafts, marine and navy tours, cooking contests, crate races, a parade, live entertainment and heaps upon heaps of fresh seafood.
