Maine's history, flavor and tradition of apples is celebrated every October at the Great Maine Apple Day in Unity. The event, sponsored by the state's Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association, features educational workshops and talks, apple tasting, food vendors and all-day cider pressing. Held at the Common Ground Education Center, admission fees apply.
